Foxconn Industrial Internet is looking for a 5G Digital Baseband Engineer
Work in a global engineering team environment, soliciting and sharing expertise with other organizations. Participate in a design team that will perform detailed design tasks specifying and evaluating new components to assure proper performance. Designs board circuitry including processors, memory interfaces, FPGAs, Ethernet interfaces, and power supplies. Investigate circuit design issues, propose solutions, and implement design updates. Documenting circuit implementation specifications, circuit test plans, and manufacturing test specifications. Support senior engineers in project tasks. Familiar with laboratory electrical test and troubleshooting techniques and test equipment. Adhere to FII engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation. Be able to travel internationally to support customer deployment. Troubleshooting design issues and brainstorming with the team to find a fix. Component (chip) selection and drawing schematics. Soldering of electronic components. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or another related degree; Masters degree is preferred. Previous work/lab experience in digital hardware circuit design, implementation, and validation testing. Work/lab experience with FPGA and programmable devices. Experience in circuit schematic design and PCB CAD layout using OrCAD, Allegro, DxDesigner, and Mentor Graphic Expedition. Experience in the use of simulation tools. Experience in the use of test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and signal analyzers. Familiarity with Mentor Graphics ECAD tools, Verilog FPGA coding, and Python scripting.
