CommTech is looking for a Controls Engineer/Technician 

The Controls Engineer/Technician assists in the development, integration, and support of existing and future manufacturing equipment. This associate takes a hands-on approach to identify and solve complex problems, seeking help when needed to overcome obstacles. Duties and Responsibilities Work with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production personnel to create functional programs for automated equipment. Writing PLC or industrial robot programs from scratch as well as making modifications and improvements to existing programs. Manage current software version history and document appropriately. Work with mechanical designers to plan out sensors, actuators, and electrical cabinets needed for new designs, Wiring, installation, and testing of prototype machines. Create controls schematics to facilitate assembly by machine builders. Integration of automated systems into an ERP system. Collects and analyzes data and makes appropriate suggestions to improve processes. Works within the engineering group to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Assist production and maintenance in diagnosing and repairing equipment on the production floor. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Programming/automation experience. Experience with industrial robot programming. Experience with ladder logic. Strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have demonstrated mechanical skills and abilities. Education & Experience Two to five years relevant programming/automation experience.
