Job Summary Part of a larger team delivering high quality Computer, Network, Storage and End-User Infrastructure technology solutions, on-going support to the business. Independently completes infrastructure project assignments. Plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise’s technology infrastructure. Provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitor system performance and installs and configures hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP’s technology standards, architectures and best practices. Job Description Essential Job Functions: Working independently, responsibilities include the following related to Computer, Network, Storage, Cloud and End-User infrastructure: Responsible for evaluating, designing, and troubleshooting video conference rooms in an MS Teams environment. Troubleshoots complex technical issues with video conferencing technology. Participates in large scale rollout of MS Teams video conferencing technology in a geographically dispersed organization Experience with designing, deploying or supporting cloud-based call center solutions. Provides on-site troubleshooting as needed. Provides advanced technical support and analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities. Adhere and advocate change management policies, incident management and trouble response scenarios. Prepare cost estimates, justifications, application requirements, alternative solutions, and technical recommendations. Lead, facilitate, and coordinate work activities of others within the work group, team, or department. Prepare technical documentation including procedures, manuals, reports, and standards. Review and adhere to budgeting and approval processes while partaking in annual and project planning. May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team. Minimum Requirements: NOTE: This position will be filled at the experience and salary grade level commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate as compared to the minimum requirements stated below. The selected candidate for this position will work remotely and, though location is flexible, will require vetting and final approval prior to offer and/or start. Infrastructure Engineer Sr (SG7): Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. Infrastructure Engineer Prin (SG 8): Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. Physical demand level is Sedentary Other Requirements: 3 plus years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, conferencing technology and software deployments Adhere to policies, procedures, standards, codes, and regulations relevant to assignments. Mentor and provide functional/technical leadership and work direction to staff Demonstrate in-depth and thorough knowledge of AEP infrastructure, environment, components, and facilities to enable more efficient and comprehensive responses to projects and problems. Exhibit and apply advanced proficiency in analysis, design, problem solving, troubleshooting, resolution, communication, and customer service skills. Preferred Requirements & Qualifications: Experience designing and deploying video conferencing rooms in an MS Teams or Zoom environment Technical and functional knowledge of MS Teams for collaboration and conferencing Knowledge of configuration and management of Poly equipment Prefer experience implementing and supporting Poly and Crestron equipment Experience with MS Teams voice preferred Experience with Powershell a plus Previous networking experience a plus Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to less technical individuals and upper management 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Networking, or equivalent experience 3 plus years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, conferencing technology and software deployments Compensation: Infrastructure Engineer Sr (SG7): $81,777-$102,224 Infrastructure Engineer Prin (SG8): $92,377-$120,089 #LI-REMOTE Compensation Data Compensation Grade: SP20-007 Compensation Range: $83,413.00-104,267.50 USD Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidates ability to work from an approved work location.
