Job Description Your Career Palo Alto Networks’s Prisma SD-WAN group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished engineer with experience in developing Application Acceleration solutions for Secure Access Service Edge(SASE). You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers to design and develop Application Acceleration software with cloud based management, monitoring and analytics. Your Impact You will work in a small and fast paced team delivering leading edge SASE solution to Design platform features for network acceleration Develop algorithms that can operate at scale Lead development efforts from rapid prototypes to large scale applications Test and verify performance and stability of software Keep yourself up to date in networking technologies and mentor others Proactively drive product improvement and innovation Qualifications Your Experience Development expertise in Linux kernel network stack Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols Experience in developing high performance distributed software applications Expertise in data structures and algorithms for large scale systems Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python Knowledge of HTTP 1.1/2.0, TLS, DNS protocols Development expertise in systems like nginx / haproxy is a plus 15+ years of experience in developing software applications with Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or equivalent military experience required Additional Information The Team Our engineering team is at the core of Palo Alto Network Prisma SD-WAN development, which is part of the world class SASE solution. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000/yr to $275,000/yr.
