JMT’s Florida Construction Management Team is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to be responsible for managing Construction Inspection business in the assigned region. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Responsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects within the central region of Florida Manages contracts, including invoicing and financial management, as well as project management and overall project performance Responsible for project QA/QC in the assigned region Manage internal JMT staff and subconsultants Participate in client presentations Maintains and builds client relationships Prepare technical and price proposals Hires, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staff Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Required Experience Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Construction Management 10+ years of experience working in the CM/CI or engineering field in relevant transportation projects Professional engineering license Qualifications Preferred Experience working with local clients, FDOT District 5 and local municipalities Excellent Written and Communication Skills FDOT Advanced MOT CTQP Quality Control Manager Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasions where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed. Travel required.
